2024. 12. 22(일) / 성탄전야제

이제 곧 크리스마스

오늘 아침엔 오랜만에 치대 코트에서 테니스를 쳤다.

KS씨가 바빠서 자주 못 보곤 했는데 오랜만에 보니 반갑기도 하고

잦은 시험공부로 정신없어 하는 걸 보니 역시 치과의사 쉽게 되는 거 아니구나 싶다.

 

내 실력이 많이 늘어서인지 게임이 좀처럼 어렵진 않았다.

영어도 테니스처럼 미쳐서 한다면 금방 실력이 늘지 않을까 싶기도 하다.

가만 생각해보면 테니스도 일주일에 3~4번 2시간씩 꾸준히 한게 전부인데, 영어도 마찬가지일까?

 

오후에는 계속 교회에 있었다.

성탄전야제 행사하랴 이제 청년부 올라오는 신입생들 환영식하랴 바빴다.

테니스를 치고와서 그런가 진짜 졸렸다.

 

내일 다시 출근하지만 이틀만 출근하면 또 쉰다는 생각에 마음이 좀 가볍다.

이제 얼마 남지 않은 2024년도 잘 마무리 해보자.

오늘 하루도 허락해주신 주님께 감사하며 일기를 마친다.

 

I played tennis at the Dental University court this morning.

I haven't seen KS often because he's been busy, so it was nice to see him.

Seeing him so caught up with constant exam preparation made me realize once again 

that becoming a dentist is definitely not easy.

 

Maybe my skills have improved because the game didn’t feel particularly challenging.
I wonder if I could improve my English just as quickly if I immersed myself in it like I do with tennis.
When I think about it, all I did for tennis was consistently practice 3–4 times a week for two hours each session.

Wouldn’t the same apply to English?

 

I spent the afternoon at church.
I was busy with the Christmas Eve event and the welcome ceremony for the new members joining the youth group.
Maybe it was because I played tennis earlier, but I was really sleepy.

 

Tomorrow, I’ll go back to work, but knowing I only have to work for two days before

I can rest again makes me feel a bit lighter.
Let’s finish up the rest of 2024 well, as there’s not much time left.
I end today’s journal with gratitude to the Lord for giving me this day.
